Scholarship Pageant
Celebrate leadership, character, and community pride at the Placer County Fair Scholarship Pageant. Local youth compete for scholarship opportunities while representing the values and heritage that define our fair. Contestants participate in interviews, presentations, and community engagement — culminating in the crowning of this year’s Fair Ambassador.
It’s a meaningful tradition that honors student excellence and invests in the next generation of Placer County leaders.

Karaoke
Step up to the mic and shine! Karaoke at the Placer County Fair is your chance to sing your favorite songs, cheer on friends, and enjoy a laid-back, good-vibes-only moment in the middle of all the fair excitement. All ages and skill levels welcome—just bring your voice and a little confidence.

Community Stage
The community stage at the Placer County Fair is a lively, family-friendly venue that celebrates the creativity and talent of local performers — featuring dance troupes, live bands, gymnasts, cultural groups, and emerging artists from across Placer County. It serves as a central hub for community engagement, giving local performers the opportunity to showcase their talents to thousands of fairgoers while creating a welcoming gathering space where families and visitors can relax and enjoy free, diverse entertainment throughout the day.

Placer AgTech & Innovation Expo
The Placer AgTech & Innovation Expo is an interactive, World’s Fair–style experience showcasing the technology, careers, and ideas shaping the future of agriculture. Designed to connect students, educators, employers, and the community, the Expo highlights local innovation through hands-on demos, company exhibits, and career pathway exploration—bringing modern agriculture to life in an engaging, accessible way.

Livestock Auction
The livestock shows at the Placer County Fair are where tradition, hard work, and community pride come together. Each year, local 4-H and FFA exhibitors proudly showcase the animals they’ve raised and cared for, reflecting the dedication that defines Placer County’s youth. It’s a chance to witness the heart of our fair’s agricultural history.

Rib Cook-Off
Follow the smell of smoky goodness to the annual Rib Cook-Off, where local grillmasters and backyard BBQ pros go head-to-head for bragging rights and the title of Best Ribs in Placer County.
Taste the entries, cheer on your favorites, and cast your vote in the
People’s Choice category. It’s one of the fair’s most mouthwatering traditions — and you won’t want to miss a bite.
