About Us
Celebrating Community Since 1937
The Placer County Fair has been a summertime tradition since 1937 — bringing families, youth, local businesses, and neighbors together to celebrate everything that makes Placer County special. Built on community pride and shared experiences, the fair continues to be a place where memories are made year after year.
A Tradition Built by the Community
What began as a small agricultural fair has grown into a four-day celebration filled with livestock shows, family activities, live music, food competitions, local vendors, and unforgettable moments. Through decades of change, one thing has remained constant: the Placer County Fair is built by this community, for this community. It’s where generations come together to honor tradition while creating new memories.
Celebrating the Past, Present, and Future
From toddlers seeing farm animals for the first time to couples enjoying summer nights under the stage lights, the fair brings people of all ages together. 4-H and FFA members proudly step into the show ring, local performers take the stage, and families return year after year. Today, the Placer County Fair continues to evolve while staying true to its roots — celebrating agriculture, supporting local youth, and welcoming everyone who calls Placer County home.

The Placer County Fair is committed to accessibility and inclusion for all guests. The Placer County Fairgrounds provide ADA-compliant access to all permanent buildings and public areas, with accessible parking, seating, pathways, and restroom facilities available throughout the campus.
